Perfect for the LOW VOLUME Fax User February 17, 2005 31 out of 33 found this review helpful
If you don't use your fax (at least for incoming) all too much and need a cheap fax solution this is the one to get. It seems that a lot of people are still into pre internet mode and expect a "real" business to use a fax. So I needed a fax for casual use (in the first month of use I have recieved about 10 sheets and sent maybe 5). (...)
A. The price is right!
B. Dependable. Low Cost Consumables Ink Jet machines clog when they are not used on a regular basis. This Panisonic Fax uses film and the cost per page is something like 12 cents per page recieved/copied.
If you are using a fax machine often an inkjet is a better way to go since the per page cost is around 5 cents per page.(Actually I would get a laser machine if I had the upfront money.) But if you use a machine less than once a week or so you run the risk of the ink drying and clogging the print head. Getting it cleaned cost as much as buying a new machine. One can only guess what it will cost finding out your machine isn't working when you're trying to receive that super important fax.
C. Easy to use. I have not opened the manual since set up.
Good Fax Machine for the Home - Office March 1, 2003 27 out of 30 found this review helpful
Have had this unit for about 5 months. Have had no problems and it has all the features I need. Salesperson recommended this one over Sharp and Brother. I doubt if there is much difference between the three in this price range but I have no reason to wish I had bought a different machine. I love the integrated phone system and use it as my main phone at home. If you are looking for a fax machine in this price range I think you will find this one is a good choice.
This is GREAT low volume fax machine. October 8, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This product is perfect for someone who does not do a lot of faxing. I would have to say that if your business relies on a bunch of faxes...why are you buying this machine? It's an inexpensive consumer fax machine. It works great as that. I have made many faxes with it and the maching has performed as expected. I recommend this product.
Great value fax machine September 12, 2005 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
I've researched price and quality, and this fax is a great value. Of course, I paid $30 after $50 mail in rebate form, so that is what I based this on. It clearly states on the package that it uses thermal film to print on plain paper, and that the included film is for only about 25 pages. The store I bought it in also carries the replacement film, which I also considered the price of compared to ink-jet faxes (which by the way are CONSIDERABLY more expensive!). If you don't read or ask questions, you deserve to be disappointed with anything you buy. If you want to use this as a copier, buy an ink-jet or laser-jet fax, but be prepared to spend a LOT more money. For low use faxing, and even lower use receiving, this is the best value!
Great! September 21, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This fax machine does everything that it says it can do, so for all of you who dont know how to set it up, just read the instructions. it works great for me.
